President Murmu in three-day visit to Odisha

Mayurbhanj;21/11(Bureau): President Draupadi Murmu’s three-day visit to Odisha has started. Reached Baripada in Mayurbhanj district on Monday morning. With this, she reached the police line in Baripada in an Indian Air Force helicopter where Governor Raghubar Das, Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Bishweshwar Tudu, State Scheduled Caste-Tribe Development Minister Jagannath Saraka welcomed her. Extensive security arrangements have been made for the smooth visit of the President. Sources said that 32 platoons of police were deployed for the security of the President.Today she will participate in the inaugural session of the 36th Annual Conference and Literary Festival of the All India Santali Writers Association in Baripada and inaugurate the Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) at Kuliyana in Mayurbhanj district. The EMRS has been developed on 12 acres of land at a cost of Rs 38 crore sanctioned by the Union Ministry of Tribal Affairs.The President will inaugurate a skills training center in Paharpur village tomorrow on 21st November. After this, she will go to Badampahad Railway Station, from where she will flag off three new trains – Badampahad Tatanagar MEMU, Badampahad-Rourkela Weekly Express and Badampahad-Shalimar Weekly Express and lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Badampahad Railway Station. She will travel from Badampahad to Rairangpur by Badampahad-Shalimar Express, where she will inaugurate Rairangpur Postal Division as well as release the commemorative cover of the postal division here. On the same day in the evening, he will participate in the 15th annual convocation of Veer Surendra Sai Technological University, Burla. Ms. Murmu will launch the National Education Campaign – ‘New Education for New India’ organized by Brahma Kumaris in Sambalpur on 22nd November. From here the President will proceed to Puttaparthi, where she will attend the 42nd convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning.
