79th National Adventure Program Concludes at Stowe Campus, Kurseong- The students of Dev International School showcased a brilliant performance at the camp.

Kurseong(Darjeeling) ;15/02 (Special Correspondent): The 79th National Adventure Program, organized by the National Adventure Institute at the Stowe Campus, Kurseong in Darjeeling which was held from December 28, 2024. The five-day event brought together participants from different states, including 84 from Bihar, 12 from Rajasthan, 33 from Odisha, 1 from Jharkhand, and 2 from Uttar Pradesh, making a total of 132 participants.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Manik Rajak, District President of the Akhil Bharatiya Mahadalit Parishad, as the chief guest. In his address, Mr. Rajak emphasized the importance of adventure activities in promoting physical fitness, discipline, and a sense of national integration among the youth. He also praised the efforts of the National Adventure Institute in organizing such programs that encourage the younger generation to engage in adventurous pursuits.
Mr. Vivek Kumar, the representative of the National Adventure Institute, highlighted the objectives of the program. He underscored the significance of adventure sports in developing a spirit of courage and resilience among participants. The program included various activities like rock climbing, trekking, rafting, group dance and choir aimed at providing the participants with a thrilling and enriching experience.
The students of Dev International School showcased a brilliant performance at the camp mesmerizing the audience present over there. The dedication and talent of the students won them an overall championship at the camp. The unwavering support of the scout teachers Mr. Srimant Kumar Ray, Mr. Satyanarayan Panda, Mr. S S Baskey, and Mrs. Sonia Rout to achieve their dreams and overcome challenges with resilience.
Dev International focuses on Academic as well as extracurricular activities and supports the youth to explore their hidden talents.
During the event, the participants also had the opportunity to learn about the rich cultural heritage of different regions of the country through various sessions and activities. The campfire event, which marked the end of the program, was a symbol of unity and camaraderie among the participants.
Certificates and prizes were distributed to the participants by the chief guest, acknowledging their efforts and enthusiasm. The event concluded with a promise to continue such initiatives that contribute to the holistic development of youth.
The 79th National Adventure Program at Kurseong not only provided an opportunity for adventure enthusiasts to showcase their skills but also fostered a sense of community and national pride among the youth. The participants departed with a renewed sense of adventure and a deeper understanding of the diverse cultural fabric of India.
